Role 1: Engineering & IT - Design Engineer - 3 Suspension Tunable Engineer

Job Description: Location: Michigan ( Onsite ) Years of Experience: (Level 7) 5-7 years with Bachelors, 3 with masters needs a self starter
Suspension Tunable Engineer
As a Suspension Tunable Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of systems that control vehicle roll, pitch, and heave and the movement of the unsprung suspension mass. You will engage with attribute groups and other system owners to guide the design from concept to production.
Responsibilities
Ensure that component designs satisfy requirements to deliver the desired vehicle attributes
Design with excellence at system and component level, with great attention to every detail
Work closely with both internal teams and externals suppliers, using creativity and teamwork to integrate multiple systems in the most efficient way possible
Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities for your designs
Manage multiple complex projects in a demanding environment
Qualifications
Automotive industry experience, mostly focused on springs, stabilizer bars, bushings and dampers
Experience in tuning parts to meet primary and secondary ride attributes
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and NVH
Experience personally and directly designing components from concept to production
Design release engineering experience, including engineering change management and project management experience
Hands-on practical experience in prototype assembly
Experience in technology, system, and supplier selection
Proven 3D CAD, project leadership
Determine required tolerances using GD&T
