Job Title: Senior Database Analyst
Location Requirement: Candidate must have or be able to obtain Unescorted Nuclear Access. No relocation assistance provided. Remote work is not permitted.
Travel: May be required to travel to a nuclear site depending on project needs.
Schedule: To be determined based on project needs; overtime may be required as a function of the job.


Job at a Glance

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Analyst with over 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA. The ideal candidate will be skilled in supporting large Oracle database environments on Linux, and demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities in collaboration with multiple business units. Experience with Oracle versions 19c through 23ai and managing databases exceeding 10TB in size is essential. This role requires the ability to obtain Unescorted Nuclear Access and may involve travel to nuclear sites based on project requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Support multiple Oracle databases on Linux operating systems.

  • Perform software installation, database creation, and general administration of Oracle databases.

  • Collaborate with various business units and resolve complex issues across project teams.

  • Evaluate and research new database features and technologies.

  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting a large Oracle environment.

  • Monitor and optimize performance issues at both application and database levels.

  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain complex databases, including access methods, database security, and regulatory requirements.

  • Work independently and as part of a team to execute Oracle administration tasks.

  • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.


Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of enterprise-level Oracle database administration experience on Red Hat Linux.

  • Expertise in data migration, replication, cloning, user administration, backup, and recovery.

  • Solid understanding of Oracle internal architecture.

  • Experience with Oracle database installation, upgrades, and migrations.

  • Proven ability to manage and maintain multiple production database environments.

  • Proficiency with Oracle19c Container database features.

  • Strong skills in performance tuning and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with RAC, TDE, and Data Guard.

  • Proficiency in scripting to automate DBA tasks.

  • Experience with database auditing and regulated environments.

Preferred:

  • Oracle Certified Professional.

  • SAP on Oracle experience.

  • Experience managing databases on Oracle Exadata appliances.
