Job Details

We are looking for a skilled Redshift Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our Amazon Redshift data warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of Redshift clusters while collaborating closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of Amazon Redshift clusters: design, provisioning, configuration, monitoring, scaling, and decommissioning.

  • Design and maintain Redshift database schemas, tables, views, and distribution strategies for optimized storage and query performance.

  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery of Redshift clusters, implementing backup and restore strategies.

  • Monitor database health and performance using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Redshift Console, and third-party monitoring solutions.

  • Required Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), with significant experience managing Amazon Redshift or other cloud data warehouses.

    • Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling concepts specific to analytical workloads.

    • Hands-on experience in Redshift performance tuning: query optimization, table distribution/sort key strategies, workload management.

    • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools (AWS Glue, Informatica, Talend, custom Python scripts).

    • Strong experience in managing large-scale datasets and designing efficient schema structures.

    • Solid understanding of AWS services: S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation.

    • Experience in implementing security, monitoring, and compliance best practices in cloud environments.

    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
