We are seeking a U.S. based React Native Software Engineer to join our development team. You ll build and improve mobile apps used daily by thousands of convenience store operators. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems and shipping features that directly support customer s business operations nationwide. Our applications help customers with things like inventory management, bookkeeping, transaction monitoring, and general reporting. You will need to collaborate with other team members in the U.S. to solve problems and design systems that meet the customers needs.

The Software Engineer s responsibilities will include the following:

  • Working with a team that includes front end web/app developers, back-end developers working against HBase NoSQL databases, QA and documentation.
  • Working remotely using various collaborative platforms to communicate with other team members.
  • Helping to design and implement a high-quality software architecture.
  • Designing and implementing changes to new and existing React Native apps.
  • Writing automated tests for your code.
  • Working with QA to find and fix problems and performance issues.
  • Mentoring other less experienced team members.
  • Managing Google Play Store and Apple App Store releases.

Requirements

  • 2+ years recent experience with React Native apps.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years professional software experience.
  • 2+ years Javascript/TypeScript experience.

Skills

  • React Native, ReactJS and JS/TS expertise.
  • App architecture design enabling automated testing and continuous modifications and releases.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with team members.
  • Passionate about software development and continued learning.
  • Designing intuitive, platform-native UIs for Android and iOS platforms.
  • Deep understanding of mobile performance optimization and UI responsiveness.
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs.

Nice to Have

  • React based web application development experience (NodeJS/express based service).
  • Automated UI testing experience.
  • Kotlin knowledge.
  • Expo App Services knowledge.
  • Jenkins CI/CD knowledge.
