Description
We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in system operations and network management within the education industry. The role involves ensuring reliable system performance, providing technical support, and optimizing network connectivity.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain operating systems to ensure smooth and efficient functionality.
Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory and other software systems.
Support hardware and software installations, upgrades, and repairs.
Provide remote access solutions using VPN and remote support technologies.
Perform basic network troubleshooting to resolve connectivity issues.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability.
Offer technical support to end users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with team members to optimize system configurations and network setups.
Maintain accurate documentation of system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting processes.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Requirements
Fundamental knowledge of operating systems
Familiarity with networking concepts, including IP configurations and protocols.
Proficiency in tools like Active Directory and remote access software.
Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware and software effectively.
Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve system issues.
Excellent communication skills to provide end-user support and documentation.
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and related technologies.
Basic understanding of network troubleshooting procedures
