Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As an RF Engineer on Restricted Ground Programs, you will collaborate with small team of other engineers, primarily focused on designing, building, and deploying antennas, feeds, modems and ground systems. There will also be situations where you will conduct electrical requirements analysis, functional analysis and performance analysis for the design, integration and verification of electrical components, equipment, and systems. You will work closely with other engineering disciplines, such as systems, software, mechanical, and field engineers, to support our technical engineering products throughout their life cycle.

What you will experience:
- Lead troubleshooting efforts on remote ground systemsworking directly with individuals in the field with a variety of technical backgrounds to interpret test results
- Conduct replacement studies for end-of-life RF COTS components; evaluate criteria, create and conduct test plans, and then document results
- Develop tools to improve efficiency, solve problems, or streamline processes
What you bring to the table:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience applying principles and techniques of Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF principles
- Experience conducting evaluations of product specifications and vendor capabilities
- Ability to design and execute test plans to ensure accurate and consistent system testing
- Ability to provide remote (phone) support to Field Service Representatives on execution of test procedures and hardware troubleshooting
- Ability to Interface with project leaders and other professionals within the engineering department
- Ability to travel, as needed (travel is occasional, normally 5-8 times per year for durations of a week)

- Proficiency with MS office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Visio)
- Experience using RF test equipment (i.e., Vector Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Communication Analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal sources)
- Knowledge of RF system concepts (i.e. interference analysis, link budgets, antenna radiation pattern analysis, propagation simulation)
