About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a deep understanding of the Annuities domain to join a digital transformation initiative for a leading client in Bethlehem, PA. This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience delivering annuity products in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for annuity offerings.

• Align product strategy with business goals, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring prioritized and actionable work for the development team.

• Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria that guide feature development.

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams.

• Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Support product launches by collaborating with internal departments including compliance, marketing, and operations.

• Drive business outcomes by incorporating customer feedback, market trends, and data-driven insights.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.

• Minimum 5 years of recent hands-on experience with Annuity product implementation.

• Strong functional knowledge of annuity structures, distribution models, and regulatory landscape.

• Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management.

• Experience with digital transformation initiatives in the insurance or retirement services sector.

• Proficiency in writing user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with financial modeling or actuarial concepts.

• Prior experience with claims systems or policy administration platforms.

• Certifications such as:

  • CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner)

  • SAFe PO/PM (Scaled Agile Framework Product Owner/Product Manager)

  • Or equivalent Agile certifications

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid Model: Must be available to work on-site 3 days per week in Bethlehem, PA.

• Remote work available on remaining days.
