What We're Doing
Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks.
The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
The Work
The successful candidate will possess the ability to work as a part of an integrated team tasked with maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities using the DOORS tool as an experienced administrator.
Due to the nature of the role, this is not being offered as a teleworking or hybrid position.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and minimum of 8 years relevant experience; or 4 years relevant experience with a Master's degree.
Active Secret Security clearance
Experience as a DOORS Administrator performing functions such as the following:
- Integrating a single baseline across multiple product lines across multiple sites
- Synchronizing modules across sites
- Maintaining and developing processes and procedures
- Providing training to junior engineers
- Tracking and reporting metrics
- Reviewing submitted content of technical products
- Acting as the technical interface to customer (MDA) counterparts as required
Ability to analyze high-level user needs and, through a structured and logical approach, develop requirements management schema and attributes
Sufficient programming skills to be able to generate DXL scripts to provide manipulation of DOORS data
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent team collaboration skills
Demonstrated capability to perform assigned tasks with minimal direction with an attention to detail
Recent experience working in an Agile environment using the Atlassian toolset (Jira/Confluence)
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
Desired skills
Current/Active Top Secret Clearance
Recent and extensive background in Ballistic Missile Defense, midcourse missile defense
Extensive DOORS scripting experience is strongly desired
Proven DOORS performance improvement
Experience with Element Specification (ES) Coordination: conduct C2BMC internal CCB
Experience with Produce monthly Detailed ES
Experience with Produce Summary ES for delivery to the government
Ability to maintain different formats of ES in DOORS: Spiral Effectivity and type (Summary, Detailed)
Experience with BMD XML Specification Support
Experience with how to use XML to report BMDS status
Experience with technical performance measures (TPMs).
Ability to define the relationships between internal and external components
Ability to communicate the desired component relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users
Experience generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
