Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls in enterprise network environments.
Perform LAN/WAN administration including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).
Implement and manage Cisco ASA, Firepower, and Meraki security appliances.
Monitor network performance to ensure high availability, low latency, and optimal throughput.
Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and network optimization.
Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions.
Implement network security best practices including ACLs, segmentation, and threat prevention.
Support and administer wireless technologies including Cisco WLCs and APs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network upgrades, deployments, and major projects.
Maintain detailed network diagrams, documentation, and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations, and security policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Routing & Switching, Security, and Wireless.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, MPLS, QoS, and related protocols.
Expertise in Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, and Cisco firewall platforms.
Experience with Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco Prime, etc.
Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications
CCNA (Required)
CCNP Enterprise or Security (Required)
Cisco Meraki CMNA (Nice to have)
ITIL Foundation (Plus)
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela or Meraki SD-WAN).
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Exposure to cloud networking (AWS / Azure networking).
Scripting skills (Python, Ansible) for network automation.
