Product Engineering Manager

About the Role
Our Client is seeking a highly experienced Product Engineering Manager to lead technical teams and oversee the design, development, and deployment of innovative software and hardware solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and proven experience managing full product lifecycles from concept through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams responsible for software and hardware product development.

  • Oversee research, design, and qualification activities for new and existing products.

  • Ensure alignment of the technology roadmap with the company s product and business strategy.

  • Collaborate with product management to plan and execute major releases, feature enhancements, and maintenance updates.

  • Evaluate product performance and guide transition from development to commercialization.

  • Serve as a technical consultant for the product organization, leading research and prototyping of innovative technologies.

  • Manage product delivery schedules, resource allocation, and release management.

  • Act as a customer liaison on technical issues related to integration, customization, and product requirements.

  • Oversee quality assurance and ensure timely delivery of production-ready releases.

  • Communicate effectively across departments to align engineering outcomes with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in high-tech industry, product engineering, and/or IT project management.

  • Proven track record managing teams responsible for software, hardware design, and engineering functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage research, development, and qualification of complex technology solutions.

  • Strong understanding of architectural design, systems integration, and lifecycle management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Experience leading large-scale legacy system conversions or modernization initiatives.

  • Ability to work onsite in Tallahassee, Florida.
