We have an exciting long term contract opportunity for a Program Manager in Austin, TX. This role will manage components of highly complex and visible projects and/or program initiatives. This role will follow project management methodologies and governance processes to deliver work products on time and within a set budget. The role will also collaborate with the end-user and key stakeholders to provide status updates and gather requirements, with the vendor on their implementation and delivery of contract deliverables, and with the internal IT Team. The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining and managing the timeline for multiple projects. Further, this individual will work to identify project risks and issues and proactively manage a plan to mitigate the risks and resolve the issues.
Manage multiple concurrent IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, End User Compute (EUC) rollouts, and enterprise system integrations.
Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Track project progress, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
Serve as the primary liaison for vendor program leads and internal stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver executive-level project updates and communications.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation including timelines, risk logs, communication plans, and stakeholder registers.
Ensure alignment with organizational goals, compliance standards, and IT governance.
Proven experience managing IT projects across infrastructure, cloud, and EUC environments.
Strong understanding of IT lifecycle roadmap construction and maintenance.
Will map existing processes and validate resource utilization throughout the lifecycle of the processes
Ability to mediate between business units with competing priorities.
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, executive reporting, and project governance.
Proficiency in project management tools and documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creative problem-solver with a hands-on approach to project delivery.
Experience:
7 years of experience in managing all phases of large and complex technical projects.
7 years of experience in creating and maintaining various project artifacts including; Project Timeline, Risk & Issue Log, Communication Plan, Stakeholder Register, etc.
7 years of experience with general IT SDLC processes.
7 years of experience in identifying and managing project risks and issues.
7 years of experience in creating and presenting executive level project communications.
7 years of experience in gathering requirements from business divisions.
7 years of experience in educating business unit staff on standardized processes.
Possess strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users including executive staff.
7 years of experience in facilitating large group meetings with internal and external resources.
7 years of experience in collaborating with the technical and functional teams to develop the Technical Specification and other documents need in support of the solution.
5 years of experience in implementing Enterprise Systems Integration.
Experience in Texas state agencies is preferred
