Title: Security Engineer
Role Overview
The Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and operating security controls across enterprise systems, endpoints, identity, and cloud environments. This role partners closely with IT, Engineering, and Security Operations to improve detection, response, and prevention capabilities in a fast-paced, high-trust environment.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage security tooling across endpoint, identity, network, and cloud environments
Support security monitoring, alert triage, and incident response activities
Build and maintain security automation and operational workflows to improve efficiency
Partner with IT and Engineering teams to integrate security controls into infrastructure and applications
Manage IAM controls including provisioning, access reviews, and role-based access
Support vulnerability management efforts including scanning, prioritization, and remediation tracking
Maintain security documentation, standards, and runbooks
Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and third-party risk activities
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Information Security, or related roles
Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, endpoint protection, or IAM platforms
Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and security fundamentals
Experience supporting incident response and security operations workflows
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience securing SaaS, cloud, or hybrid environments
Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO
Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
Nice to Have
Experience supporting distributed or creative workforces
Security certifications (Security+, GSEC, or similar)
