Technology Operations Specialist

Location: On-site - Transportation Hub, New York City
Duration: Ongoing / Long-term

At iSphere, we re looking for an energetic and tech-savvy Technology Operations Specialist to support and manage the on-site execution of an innovative robotics program at a transportation facility in the New York City area.

This is a hands-on role for someone who s curious about emerging technology, comfortable in dynamic environments, and eager to be the face of innovation. You ll help ensure robotic systems are running smoothly, integrated effectively into daily operations, and presented professionally to staff, clients, and the public.


What You ll Be Doing

Program Execution & Operations

  • Serve as the on-site operator and primary point of contact for the robotics program.

  • Manage day-to-day deployment, charging, monitoring, and maintenance of robotic equipment.

  • Learn and master system functions to ensure optimal performance.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with vendors or internal support teams for resolution.

Stakeholder & Public Engagement

  • Represent the robotics initiative with professionalism and enthusiasm you ll be the go-to on-site expert.

  • Interact positively with staff, facility partners, and the public, sharing information about the technology and its purpose.

  • Collaborate closely with operations, facilities, and vendor teams to ensure seamless coordination.

Data & Reporting

  • Capture operational data and performance metrics to share with the Innovation team.

  • Document feedback, lessons learned, and improvement ideas from daily operations.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all activities follow established site safety protocols and public interaction guidelines.

  • Maintain situational awareness of operational zones and equipment movement.


What You Bring

  • 2-4 years of experience in technology operations, facilities management, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in robotics, automation, or connected technology.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills comfortable engaging with both technical teams and the public.

  • A customer-service mindset, high energy, and strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with tablets, dashboards, or IoT management tools.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours (including some evenings or weekends, as needed).

  • Must be eligible to work on-site at a secure public facility (security clearance required).
