Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer to join in and support our team at a customer site in North Charleston, SC.

The Lead Design Engineer will be focused on working directly with our customer to develop the next generation Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S) that is installed on United States Marine Corps vehicles such as the Ultra Light Tactical Vehicle (ULTV).

Duties and responsibilities for the role include (but are not limited to):
  • Direct interaction with our customer's Lead Systems Engineer to design and develop the components required for system implementation.
  • Be involved with the various stages of product development from initial design to prototyping, testing, and integration.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and solve complex problems that may arise during the development process.
  • Utilize SolidWorks CAD software to create and modify designs under general direction and in adherence to project requirements.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Command, Control, Communications, Computer Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR).
  • Three (3) years of technical experience in support of C4ISR Projects.
    *Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
