Job Details
Role: Sr DevOps Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to ensure reliability and uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and production environments.
- Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and implement necessary controls within the DevOps pipeline.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices for DevOps culture and automation.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
- Expert knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) with experience architecting cloud-native solutions.
- Strong experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Solid scripting skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
