Job Overview
As an Entry-Level Java Developer at Hirebyte, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications that support business operations. This role provides a great opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and grow your expertise in Java development within a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot.
Assist in building new features and optimizing existing ones for scalability, performance, and reliability.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate with team members to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and implement solutions.
Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and code reviews to ensure application quality.
Work with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) using JDBC/Hibernate/JPA for data persistence.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide updates, and contribute to sprint planning.
Stay updated with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and industry practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Strong understanding of Core Java (OOP concepts, collections, exception handling, multithreading basics).
Familiarity with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and database integration.
Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and build tools (Maven/Gradle).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Candidates must have U.S. work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
Internship or project experience in Java development (Spring Boot, REST APIs, or web apps).
Exposure to frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for full-stack tasks.
Familiarity with JUnit for unit testing and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization tools (Docker) is a plus.
