Principal Architect

We're looking for a visionary Principal Architect with a robust background in Enterprise Architecture to be a strategic technology leader. This role is key to shaping our technology landscape, ensuring IT solutions align with business objectives, and driving our digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Architecture Strategy: Define and evolve the enterprise architecture blueprint, ensuring alignment with business and digital goals. Lead architectural governance and design and evolve cloud-native, scalable, and secure architectures (preferably AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).

  • Solution Design & Delivery: Lead solution design for large-scale platforms, including cloud-native applications, microservices, APIs, and data platforms. Provide architectural oversight during program execution and partner with business and product teams to modernize legacy systems. You'll also contribute code when needed (Java, Python, or relevant stack) to set standards and mentor teams.

  • Technology Leadership: Guide cross-functional engineering, development, and product teams. You'll also manage and mentor a team of senior architects and engineers, and Cloud Infrastructure SREs, fostering a high-performance technical culture.

  • Innovation & Modernization: Design, recommend, and plan Legacy Modernization strategies. Drive the adoption of modern technologies like cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), AI/ML, DevSecOps, event-driven architecture, and blockchain.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in software architecture and technology leadership.

  • Proven experience with enterprise integration and digital transformation projects.

  • Expertise in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), API-led integration, containerization (Kubernetes/Docker), and event streaming platforms (Kafka, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).

  • Experience in cloud-native design, distributed systems, and data modeling.

Insurance Specific Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge across Group Insurance and integration domains.

  • Experience in the insurance industry (P&C, Life, Health, or Reinsurance) and core insurance processes (underwriting, claims, policy administration, billing, etc.).

  • Ability to modernize legacy systems and enable digital insurance capabilities (e.g., AI-driven underwriting, telematics).

  • Understanding of regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, NAIC, SOC2) and industry data standards (e.g., ACORD).
