Job Title: ServiceNow Business Analyst
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite 4 days per week required)/Only local
Job Type: W2 Contract
The ServiceNow Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the client, in ServiceNow platform. This role requires a detail-oriented, strategic thinker who can engage directly with business users and technical teams to evaluate user needs, define requirements, and support delivery of enhancements and projects across the ServiceNow ecosystem.The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, documentation, training, and overall quality control.
Primary Responsibilities:-
Serve as a subject matter expert on ServiceNow capabilities, particularly across ITSM and process automation

Work closely with business users to identify pain points and recommend ServiceNow-based solutions

Gather and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements

Define product themes, epics, user stories, and product features

Lead or support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirements prioritization sessions

Facilitate and document AS-IS and TO-BE business processes and system flows
-
Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications

Participate in all phases of sprint and project work including testing, documentation, training, and communications

Write test cases, execute scripts, and validate system functionality
-
Prepare release notes and create user-friendly training documentation
-
Mediate between business units with conflicting or competing needs

Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environment, depending on the project

4 7 years of experience working in IT environments with strong understanding of SDLC
-
4 7 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform and modules
-
Proven ability to support both Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall project methodologies
-
Skilled in requirements gathering, user story creation, backlog management, and test planning
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in teams
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort in presenting to business and executive stakeholders

Skilled in leading cross-functional team meetings and mediating between stakeholders
-
Experience analyzing raw data and translating it into actionable insights
-
Experience in QA/QC review and test case validation

2+ years of experience working with state government agencies
-
2+ years of experience with ServiceNow Security Operations or GRC modules
-
ServiceNow Certification (CSA, CIS, or equivalent) is strongly preferred
