Job Details
In this role, you will identify stakeholder needs, derive requirements, conduct tradeoff analysis, develop algorithms and functional architectures, review product design, and verify and troubleshoot systems. We are looking for a strong leader to work across a range of engineering disciplines to create unique solutions while strongly focusing on delivery and quality.
Duties: Including but not limited to:
- Assist with gathering customer needs and lead translating these into detailed control system requirements.
- Lead the definition, analysis, and allocation of requirements across the various engineering areas.
- Develop the high-level system architecture and perform trade-off analysis for design approaches.
- Plan machine-level system integration and testing approaches and procedures both virtually and physically.
- Provide technical leadership for small to medium-complex cross-functional development projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering in the field of Systems, Software, Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical, or Aerospace and four years of product development experience in software, electronics, hydraulics, system and/or machine controls design. Eight years of product development experience without an engineering degree.
- Proficient in developing electronic/hydraulic/mechanical control systems.
- Experience in identifying stakeholder needs and translating them to system requirements.
- Data-based decision analysis via structure methods (decision, Pugh, and trade space analysis).
- System integration and verification experience.
- Skilled in advanced troubleshooting skills, and root cause analysis utilizing FMEA, 8d s, and 6 sigma tools.
- Strong preference for experience with model-based design and agile software development.
- Experience using Matlab/Simulink, SYSML, Jira, and Dassault 3D Experience.
- Familiar with J1939 multiplexed communication and diagnostic protocols.
- Ability to communicate low details to a broad system context based on the needs of the audience.

- Occasional travel is expected of this position.
