Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Project Leader to join our team in Skaneateles, NY. This long-term contract position focuses on managing design changes and documentation updates to support product maintenance. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, oversee engineering tasks, and ensure the successful execution of projects within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional teams to execute engineering assignments and achieve project goals.
Manage design changes and ensure accurate documentation updates to maintain product integrity.
Develop and oversee detailed project plans using tools like Microsoft Project and Smartsheet.
Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to address material or mechanical changes effectively.
Apply knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) and ERP systems to support project activities.
Facilitate communication within hybrid teams, balancing in-office and remote collaboration.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, particularly in medical device environments.
Conduct cost analysis and planning to optimize project resources and timelines.
Utilize engineering expertise to evaluate, select, and adapt techniques for project execution.
Act as a technical lead for specific project components, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
1-3 years of recent project leadership experience is essential.
Strong communication and organizational skills are a must.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and familiarity with Smartsheet are necessary.
Experience working with Bill of Materials (BOM) and ERP systems is required.
Knowledge of regulated environments, such as medical or pharmaceutical industries, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with mechanical design changes and material handling is a plus.
Ability to manage hybrid teams and adapt to partial remote work setups is preferred.
