Job Description

You will be the Sustainment Engineer for the Rotary Wing Sensors / Apache Program Integrated Technical Operations Center (ITOC) team. Our team is responsible for providing sustainment program support, ensuring the logical conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Sustainment Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding the successful completion of major programs, applying extensive technical expertise in aircraft avionics, and interacting with senior external personnel on significant technical matters. You will also function as a project leader, driving technical solutions and coordinating between organizations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting TADS/PNVS & FCR ITOC program activities
Analyzing aircraft Built-in Test (BIT) and wire-code procedures to resolve field issues
Developing and conducting technical reliability studies and evaluations
Compiling and analyzing performance reports to improve system reliability and maintainability
Providing technical support and training to customers and internal teams
Troubleshooting technical problems and identifying failure trends to recommend solutions
Participating in technical boards and reviews to drive product improvements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
Excellent communication skills and Customer Service oriented
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Desired skills

Ability to work in a cross-functional IPT environment
Ability to read aircraft maintenance reports and interpret technical data
Experience interacting with management and customers
Experience with AH-64 Apache sensors maintenance activities and operations. Preferred MOS's of (15Y or Romeo)
Individual must be a self-starter capable of effectively managing multiple tasks
Strong organizational skills and be detailed oriented towards technical project management
Previous internship or work study program with DoD contractor or military affiliation., i.e., Skillbridge program or Hiring for Heros
Comfortable in a lab environment to perform testing on aircraft hardware

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $63,800 - $112,470. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
