PHP Developer

Top Consulting is seeking a highly skilled PHP Developer with demonstrated retail industry experience to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and support of PHP-based applications with a focus on retail system integrations. This role requires strong technical expertise, an understanding of retail operations, and the ability to deliver solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance PHP applications and web-based solutions in alignment with business requirements.
  • Implement and support integrations with retail platforms including POS, ERP, inventory management, and eCommerce systems.
  • Design and maintain scalable APIs and web services for third-party retail applications.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT colleagues to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure applications meet established performance, security, and reliability standards.
  • Conduct system analysis, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and adherence to development best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to technology modernization efforts.

Qualifications

  • 3 5 years of PHP development experience with knowledge of frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
  • Proficiency in relational database design and development, particularly MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience with retail systems such as ERP, POS, eCommerce, or inventory management solutions.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, system integrations, and web services.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) preferred.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker).
  • Exposure to data analytics and reporting tools within a retail context.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
