Job Overview:

• We are seeking an experienced Active Directory & Citrix Engineer to support our data center migration and hybrid cloud VDI environment.
• The candidate should have strong expertise in Active Directory administration, Citrix DaaS, CVAD on-prem, and related infrastructure.
• The role includes managing identity services, virtual desktop provisioning, and integration across on-prem and cloud platforms (preferably AWS), with an emphasis on scalability, security, and performance optimization.
• The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in both Microsoft Active Directory and Citrix technologies, with a strong background in managing enterprise-grade infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration of Active Directory services during data center consolidation.
• Rebuild Citrix Cloud Gateway environments and migrate virtual workloads from on-prem to cloud-hosted platforms.
• Optimize and troubleshoot virtual desktop environments during and after the migration.
• Manage, configure, and maintain AD domains, OUs, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, and replication.
• Implement security practices: MFA, RBAC, compliance audits, and authentication policies.
• Integrate with Azure AD and other identity platforms (e.g., Okta, Ping).
• Manage AD Federation Services (ADFS) and hybrid setups.
• Automate AD tasks using PowerShell and maintain thorough documentation.
• Manage and administer Citrix DaaS in public cloud (preferably AWS) at a senior level.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Citrix Netscaler, Cloud Gateway, and CVAD On-Prem (with PVS) for seamless connectivity and performance.
• Oversee CVAD On-Prem environments, including Provisioning Services (PVS) and Image Management.
• Support Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and Parallels RAS deployments and integrations including image management.
• Perform gold image management for CVAD, RDS, and Parallels RAS environments.
• Provision and manage AWS EC2 instances for desktop workloads.
• Provision and maintain AWS EC2 instances for virtual desktop workloads and Citrix workloads.
• Maintain VMware ESXi environments for virtual machine hosting, including provisioning and versioning of virtual machines.
• Configure and maintain Active Directory (AD) and Group Policies related to virtual machines and published applications.
• Implement monitoring tools (e.g., Citrix Director, Splunk, ControlUp).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize VDI performance and end-user experience.
• Work closely with network, security, application and compliance teams to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Document architectural designs, procedures, and migration runbooks for future reference and support.
• Assist in designing and documenting new high-availability infrastructure to support production workloads.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 8 years experience in Active Directory administration and Citrix infrastructure.
• Proven experience with data center or large-scale infrastructure migrations.
• Expertise in Citrix DaaS (on AWS preferred), CVAD, Citrix Gateway, and Parallels RAS.
• Strong experience in VMware ESXi, AWS EC2 provisioning, versioning and image lifecycle
• management.
• Solid understanding of AD Federation Services, RBAC, MFA, and group policy configuration.
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred) to automate administrative tasks.
• Senior-level experience with Citrix Netscaler and Citrix Cloud Gateway.
• Senior-level expertise in CVAD On-Prem, including Provisioning Services (PVS).
• Experience with Remote Desktop Services (RDS) or Parallels RAS.
• Proficiency in gold image management across CVAD, RDS, and Parallels RAS.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Citrix, Parallels RAS, RDS, and VMware environments.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale VDI deployments with cloud and on-prem hybrid architectures.
• Experience with automating VDI provisioning using PowerShell or Terraform.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust and Secure Access frameworks for remote work solutions.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Citrix Director, ControlUp, or Splunk.
• Preferred Certifications:
• Citrix certifications (e.g., CCP-V, CCE-V, or Citrix Certified Associate).
• Parallel RAS Certification
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
