RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Junior Rack & Stack Field Engineer in support of our leading industry technology development client in Oakland, CA. Our client is seeking candidates who are driven to make positive changes to the way people live and work by creating breakthrough technology solutions.
Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for resolving Company hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures in support of Company customers' data centers.
Key Tasks include:
* Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves issues within IT infrastructure, including Company Enterprise systems, servers, storage, and networking
* Understanding of a Data Center IT Operations environment and the knowledge to use software tools to perform day-to-day functions and troubleshooting
* Provide installation and or break/fix support, including component replacement, hardware troubleshooting, and operating system installation
* Demonstrate hands-on practical knowledge of systems and policies
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of technical experience and Associate's degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related area of study; Without a degree, two additional years of relevant professional experience (5-7 years in total)
* Able to perform high volume/low impact tasks in an efficient and knowledgeable manner
* Able to proficiently perform data center support tasks with little guidance
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
