Project Manager
Quincy, MA - Hybrid Role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Health Information Technology (HIT) and Interoperability projects and initiatives in support of the patient-centric approach to providing secure and efficient digital access to healthcare data.
- Partner with multiple EOHHS Agency teams including policy, operations and information technology teams as well as vendors and external organizations to implement health data exchange projects and initiatives.
- Provide coordination and efficient communication strategies in a highly matrixed environment communicating with external stakeholders and internal partners to ensure alignment and resolution for issues related to project deliverables and other topics as needed.
- Work with HIT Program Manager and business stakeholders to develop operational plans with detailed milestones and activities.
- Ensure that HIT projects and initiatives have detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, project checklists and budgets to meet established time frames, finances, and staffing availability.
- Convene and facilitate internal and external stakeholder meetings for requirements gathering, project planning, communication, and change management.
- Coordinate project activities in adherence to project plans and goals, and monitor results against established timelines, deliverables, tasks and dependencies.
- Responsible for project communication and keeping all levels of management appraised of project status.
- Create and maintain a dashboard of all HIT projects and initiatives.
- Ensure timely reporting and management for project budgets including working with team leads to plan for upcoming budget cycles.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and document supporting policies, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure adherence and compliance with EOTSS, EOHHS, Security, and departmental policies, guidelines, and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Knowledge of, and experience in a healthcare information technology environment
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and collaborate with management, end users, project team members, vendors and across diverse business groups
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate or comparable certification
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability to conduct detailed planning, and to perform risk assessments and their associated risk mitigation actions
- Great documentation and analytical skills
- Great oral and written communication skills, and presentation skills Prior experience in healthcare or government setting desired
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor s degree in Information technology, or related field.
- Minimum (5) five years of extensive hands-on experience with project management in a healthcare information technology setting.
- Experience with project management tools (MS Office Project)
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and presentation skill
