Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Software Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java, SQL/PostgreSQL, and React with TypeScript, and will contribute to the development and maintenance of a high-performance, multi-model software application. This system demands millisecond-level response times and 24x7x365 availability, making reliability and optimization key aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Java-based web applications.
Design and implement database schemas, stored procedures, and functions using PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL.
Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability to meet stringent functional and performance requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and bottlenecks.
Maintain high standards of code quality and participate in code reviews.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5-7 years of professional experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in Java and SQL (preferably PostgreSQL).
Experience with React and TypeScript for front-end development.
Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and EC2 Linux/UNIX environments.
Knowledge of JBOSS, SOAP Web Services, REST APIs, and JSON.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with additional programming languages or frameworks.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Exposure to government or defense-related software projects.
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security scanning tools.
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment
May require extended hours during deadlines
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs and move throughout the office
Physical Requirements
Prolonged desk/computer work
Occasional movement across office space
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
