Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Integration Developer to join our client's Enterprise Information Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting ETL processes and data integration solutions. This role requires strong hands-on expertise with IBM DataStage, DB2, SQL, Kafka, and Python, along with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of data across various platforms and contribute to enterprise-level data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL processes primarily using IBM DataStage.
  • Work with relational databases (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle) to handle complex queries and table structure
  • Build real-time and batch data pipelines using Kafka and other integration tools.
  • Develop automation and support scripts using Python and Unix shell scripting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring stability and reliability of systems.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute as a T-shaped team member.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members.
  • Support weekend/overnight releases as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of IT experience with a focus on data integration and ETL.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (DB2 preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming.
  • Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
  • Unix shell scripting expertise.
  • Exposure to scheduling tools (e.g., Zena or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Prior experience working in Agile environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing in a team-oriented environment.
