Bilingual Copywriter (Japanese) - Global Technology Brand
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid - Onsite presence required)
Contract: 6-month W2 contract
Pay: $42-$50/hour, depending on experience

A leading global technology company is seeking a Japanese Copywriter to support high-impact marketing initiatives across digital, social, print, and broadcast media. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, collaborative creative team working on campaigns that reach international audiences.

The ideal candidate will be a native-fluent Japanese writer with strong English communication skills and experience concepting and executing marketing copy within agency or corporate settings. This individual will play a key role in shaping customer-facing messaging for the Japanese market while collaborating with global stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging and effective Japanese-language copy for digital, social, broadcast, and print marketing assets

  • Partner closely with regional stakeholders, creative teams, and business partners to align messaging with campaign objectives

  • Maintain brand voice and editorial standards across all customer-facing content

  • Review and edit marketing materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines

  • Use data and research to optimize content strategy and performance

  • Manage and update messaging documentation for various segments and campaigns


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Japanese, technical writing, communications, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in copywriting for a creative agency or corporate marketing department

  • Native fluency in Japanese, with strong written and verbal English communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience writing for Japanese audiences across multiple media types

  • Strong online portfolio showcasing campaign work and writing samples

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for content collaboration and documentation

  • Experience managing messaging decks and maintaining brand voice across channels


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on global teams or with international stakeholders

  • Background in marketing within the Japanese market

  • Familiarity with agile content development processes

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in collaboration with design teams

  • Ability to interpret research and data to refine content strategies

  • Prior experience in recruitment marketing is a plus

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines


Additional Details:

  • Standard working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PT; occasional meetings may be scheduled as late as 6:00-7:00 PM

  • Estimated overtime: up to 10 hours per month

  • This role is hybrid and will require working onsite in the Seattle office three days per week
