Job Description

A REMOTE Avionics Systems Engineer job is currently at Belcan supporting one of our aerospace customers. We are seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer with at least 5 years of experience and has in depth experience in designing, developing, testing and integrating advanced avionics solutions, specifically our customer's Epic integrated avionics systems.

Job Duties:
Aircraft Level Avionics systems design, integration and test
System engineering and integration support to multiple Avionics products including Flight Management Systems (FMS), Guidance, Navigation, Fight Controls, Autopilot, Displays, Datalink, etc.
Systems validation and test of new Avionics functionality using dynamic aircraft simulation and test facilities (Integrated Test Benches)

Required Qualifications:
MUST HAVE Experience with Honeywell Primus Epic integrated avionics systems
Experience decomposing and validating customer requirements into high-level system requirements using DOORs
Experience writing scenario base tests for system level verification
Experience working in the Honeywell SITS labs (test facility for the EPIC platform)
Integration of complex federated systems (Displays, FMS, Flight Controls, Datalink, Radios)
Full Life Cycle Systems engineers (both sides of the V diagram)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or systems engineering
5+ years of Systems, Avionics, Software of Aerospace engineering experience
Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Display integration experience (touchscreen, HUD, and/or GPU)
DO-178 planning and/or process

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $100,000-$145,000, however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
