Amentum is seeking a Front-End Developer to join our team of passionate individuals in Herndon/Chantilly, VA. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation's security and intelligence mission.

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Front-End Developer to join our team and help build intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for our web applications. This role is ideal for someone passionate about user experience, design systems, and modern front-end technologies.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using modern front-end frameworks.
Collaborate with UX/UI developers and back-end developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
Translate design mockups and wireframes into clean, efficient code.
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility.
Implement responsive designs that work across various devices and screen sizes.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and maintain code quality through testing and reviews.
Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.

Requirements:
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Experience with modern frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong attention to detail and a passion for clean, maintainable code.
Exposure to Agile development environments.

Clearance Required:
TS/SCI with poly

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum Years of Experience:
8

Preferred:
Experience with design systems and component libraries.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.
Experience with performance optimization and analytics tools.
