BlueHalo, an AV company, is looking for an ambitious Systems/Network Administrator to join our team and provide Junior to Mid career level system/network administration support to our customer at KAFB. Our customer and their programs support the research and development of cutting-edge solutions in direct support of modeling, simulation, analysis and wargaming.
This is an onsite, customer facing position in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will allow the right candidate to help design, build and support critical network and computing environments. This individual will assist the build out of a virtualized environment and is expected to have proven knowledge of Networking, Windows servers, workstations, virtualization technology, and storage systems. It is expected that this person will play a key role in system and network administration for these environments and serve as a point of contact for technical matters. The user population of these systems includes researchers, scientists, and general users.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a strong background in system troubleshooting, customer-facing technical support and system/network administration who is looking to expand their skillset and assume a support role in a team comprised of fellow BlueHalo/AV employees and subcontractor staff.

Responsibilities
- Support acquisition of new technologies by providing informed reviews and recommendations.
- As part of the team, with limited supervision, you will be responsible for providing technical and system/network administration support to two closed-enclaves and all their infrastructure, users and services:
- Ensure stable operation of computer networks. This includes planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, documenting, securing and optimizing all network hardware, software and communication links.
- Monitor infrastructure and systems to proactively alert of pending issues before service interruption.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in-person with end users.
- Troubleshoot issues with Windows and Linux operating systems and network related anomalies.
- Implement best practices, to comply with the systems' network and security posture
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies (DoD, DISA, USAF, etc.)
- Run mitigation on vulnerability scan results to maintain compliance and adhere to cyber security best practices.
- Automate system administration tasks with scripts (e.g. Bash, Python, Teraform, Ansible)
- Assume shared ownership of technical support of enclaves within six months of hire.
- Availability to provide onsite coverage Monday through Friday during normal working hours.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level clearance
- Possess appropriate DoD certifications (Security+, CISSP, etc.) or obtain within six months
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
- At least three years of experience with network administration.
- At least three years of experience with Windows operating systems
- Windows Server, and Linux administration and scripting ability to automate tasks is highly desired.
- 1 year of experience with virtualization (VSphere, Hyper-V or VergeIO), and enterprise storage systems.
- Ability to learn and design solutions with proactive monitoring/alerting for potential issues before they disrupt service to users
Certifications:
- Security + or CISSP
- CCNA highly desired
- Linux or RedHat Certification highly desired
Demonstrated Experience:
- Hands on experience with installing, maintaining the troubleshooting Cisco network equipment
- Windows Administration: Active Directory (GPOs, account provisioning (user, service)) Server 20xx, Windows 10/11
- Linux Administration: Server management, AD/LDAP integration
- Virtualization: Experience with VMWare, Hyper-V or VergeIO (deploying hosts, VDI, and maintenance tasks, etc...) storage and virtual networks.
Highly Desired;
- Demonstrated experience with application of DISA STIGs, vulnerability and compliance scanning
- Experience with deploying and managing ACAS, and HBSS
- VergIO experience
- Cryptographic Equipment: Configuration of General Dynamics suite of encryption solutions, Key Management (CRO)
- Experience supporting DoD RMF: creation of artifacts such as Nessus scans, CKLs
