Project Manager, IT Security
Location: NY, NY
Our Client is a leading innovator in the Finance Industry and we are committed to protecting our digital assets and our customers' data through a robust and proactive IT security strategy. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead our critical IT security initiatives.

Position Summary:
The Project Manager for IT Security will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT security projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources, coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects on time and within scope. The Project Manager will also define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both project management methodologies and IT security principles.

Key Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple, concurrent IT security projects from initiation to closure, including but not limited to, vulnerability management programs, security awareness training, endpoint detection and response (EDR) rollouts, identity and access management (IAM) implementations, and security information and event management (SIEM) deployments.
* Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates. Execute projects according to plan, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
* Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Effectively communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to technical teams, senior management, and other business units.
* Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and escalate critical issues to leadership in a timely manner.
* Team Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including security engineers, system administrators, network engineers, compliance officers, and business stakeholders.
* Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets and track expenditures to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints. Secure and manage project resources (personnel, technology, and vendors).
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain all project documentation, including project charters, status reports, risk logs, and post-mortem analyses. Prepare and present regular reports on project performance.
* Quality Control: Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and are aligned with the company's security policies and objectives.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
* 3 years of professional experience in project management, with at least 3 years specifically managing IT security projects.
* Proven experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
* Strong understanding of core IT security principles, technologies, and best practices (e.g., firewall management, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, IAM, SIEM, security protocols).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
* Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).

Preferred Qualifications:
* PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster - CSM).
* Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or others.
* Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare) with knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
* Experience with cloud security projects (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
