Job Details

Our West Des Moines-based client is searching for an SAS Operational Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will protect our client by ensuring proper measures are in place to mitigate operational risks identified in the risk register, as well as risks across the Loan Servicing, Call Center, and Loan Originations departments. You will also assist in developing and updating control reports and quality assurance components for new or revised processes and procedures. Apply now to be considered!

What you will do:

  • Oversee Quality Assurance, Change Management, and Business Controls
  • Develop and refine control reporting processes to address risks identified in the operations risk register, incorporating both preventive and detective controls across many operational areas
  • Assess operational procedures and processes to detect weaknesses in control reporting
  • Align policies and regulations to operational risks, mitigation strategies, and required control reports
  • Track the effectiveness of existing controls and manage the implementation of new controls
  • Assist the change management team by providing control insights for proposed changes
  • Help develop and update operational policies to ensure compliance with control requirements
  • Support the execution of post-implementation reviews to review the success of change initiatives
  • Assist in root cause analysis of QA findings, customer-reported errors, and other issues to determine if additional control reporting is needed
  • Partner with other change and operational analysts to comprehend responsibilities and desired outcomes
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of processes, procedures, and systems used by Account Services, the Call Center, and Loan Originations
  • Take part in ongoing strategic discussions for the improvement of department controls

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Proficiency in SAS
  • Experience with SQL (preferred)
  • Background in business analysis, operational analysis, or a similar role
  • Experience with improvement methodologies and process mapping
