Job Description

InfusionPoints Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team designs, implements, and manages cloud-native and hybrid-cloud solutions for customers in highly regulated industries (e.g., federal, healthcare, finance). This role focuses on engineering secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), emphasizing infrastructure as code (IaC), automated deployment pipelines, cloud governance, and continuous security posture monitoring. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience architecting and supporting production workloads on Google Cloud Platform within FedRAMP, HIPAA, or PCI-compliant environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage secure, scalable infrastructure solutions using Google Cloud Platform-native services, focusing on automation, repeatability, and compliance.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, with a strong emphasis on writing modular and reusable code rather than simply executing scripts, while managing remote state.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, and PowerShell for provisioning, patching, and configuration management tasks.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and integrate security tools for DevSecOps practices.
  • Administer Google Cloud Platform IAM policies, service accounts, VPC networks, firewall rules, and implement least-privilege access aligned with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53).
  • Configure and maintain observability using Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver), Prometheus, Grafana, and integrate with PagerDuty for on-call alerting and incident response.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability scanning and remediation using Tenable Nessus, Prisma Cloud (Twistlock), and ensure infrastructure compliance with required regulatory baselines.
  • Support cross-cloud integrations (e.g., Google Cloud Platform AWS), ensuring consistent identity, networking, and policy models across providers.
  • Participate in change management processes: write and execute change requests, attend CAB meetings, and maintain system documentation.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for IaaS/PaaS/SaaS workloads and participate in on-call rotations.
  • On-call responsibilities may be occasionally required

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or DevOps, including 2+ years with Google Cloud Platform in production environments.
  • Proficient with Google Cloud Platform services including:
    • Cloud IAM, Resource Manager, VPC Networking, Cloud DNS, and Firewall rules
    • GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), Cloud Run, Cloud Functions
    • Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Logging, and Monitoring
  • Experience working in or building systems aligned with FedRAMP, NIST, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Windows server administration within cloud environments.
  • Familiar with container orchestration (Kubernetes), image hardening, and deployment best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills across distributed systems.
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and participating in peer reviews, retrospectives, and sprint planning.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or 5+ years of equivalent technical experience.
  • Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Associate Cloud Engineer) strongly preferred.
  • Experience integrating cloud-native security and compliance tooling with CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud governance and cross-cloud identity & access patterns.

Other Details:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
