Title: Sr. Mainframe Programmer Analyst Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) Interview Type: Web Cam Interview only Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Short Description:
The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Information Technology, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mainframe Programmer Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia.
Complete Description:
This position is responsible for providing system maintenance and enhancements for the DHS Special Projects Team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications
- Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
- Work with IT support teams (ex. DBA s) to ensure support and project requirements are developed and successfully implemented
- Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
- Work with business team to complete acceptance testing and participate in integration testing
- Responsible for full System Development Life Cycle
- On-call production support
Required Job Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 10+ years of experience in mainframe development
- 10+ years and expert knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM and other mainframe technologies
- Expert knowledge of DB2 Utilities (QMF and SPUFI)
- Strong knowledge of IBM Utilities such as IEBGENER, IDCAMS, ICETOOL, DEBUGGER(CICS and Batch), FILE MANAGER, SORT, Fault Analyzer
- Experience in all components of software delivery including requirements, design, development, and testing
- Experience with CHANGEMAN and CONTROL-M Scheduling
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Experience with mainframe software development tools and platforms (z/OS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
