Company Overview

AirWatch Engineer focusing on managing and optimizing VMware Workspace ONE (AirWatch) to support secure, scalable enterprise mobility and endpoint device management solutions for our financial services client.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled AirWatch Engineer with strong expertise in VMware Workspace ONE (formerly AirWatch) to join our team. This role will focus on managing and optimizing enterprise mobility solutions, ensuring secure and efficient operation across a wide range of mobile and endpoint devices. The ideal candidate will have experience in mobile device management (MDM), system integration, and technical troubleshooting within a corporate IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize the VMware Workspace ONE (AirWatch) platform, ensuring the secure and efficient operation of all enrolled devices.
  • Oversee the day-to-day MDM operations, including policy enforcement, compliance monitoring, and device lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration between AirWatch and enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Exchange, and certificate services.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot any system or device-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement strategies for performance optimization and policy standardization across all supported device types.
  • Ensure data integrity and security by enforcing compliance rules, encryption policies, and conditional access protocols.
  • Analyze platform logs, usage metrics, and compliance reports to identify potential inefficiencies or policy gaps.
  • Coordinate with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions, focusing on secure connectivity and application deployment.
  • Provide training and support to staff in using mobile device tools and ensuring adherence to mobility best practices.
  • Prepare reports on platform performance, compliance status, and issue resolution, offering insights for senior leadership.
  • Manage and document changes to AirWatch configurations, enrollment workflows, and policy settings.
  • Ensure that all systems and operations are compliant with security standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in enterprise mobility management, with a focus on VMware Workspace ONE / AirWatch.
  • Strong working knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows), MDM enrollment processes, and compliance management.
  • Experience integrating AirWatch with enterprise services such as Active Directory, Exchange/Office 365, VPN, and certificate authorities.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot MDM-related issues and manage large-scale mobile deployments.
  • Excellent understanding of mobile security, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose problems, propose solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient in creating and managing configuration profiles, compliance rules, and application deployment workflows.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and help desk support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VMware Workspace ONE or AirWatch certification (e.g., VCP-DW or equivalent).
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, REST APIs) to manage MDM tasks.
  • Knowledge of Workspace ONE s architecture, configuration, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with mobile threat defense platforms and integration with MDM solutions
