Python Full Stack Developer w/ Gen AI Experience

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Python Full Stack Developer w/ Gen AI Experience for a contract assignment with one of our premier Management Consulting services clients in New York, NY. This role will evolve into being client facing and thus exceptional communication and presentation skills are also required to go along with the technical requirements. Primary technical skillset desired is strong back-end Python, API customization using GraphQL (or similar), Terraform, and Azure Cloud toolset familiarity (Azure OpenAI or similar agentic oriented technologies highly desirable). Front-end is React based SPA however the majority of work will be back-end oriented development. Experience utilizing and building agentic AI technologies and solutions is extremely desirable.

Responsibilities :

• Strong individual contributor to a development team building a high-quality software product. These products are leveraging Firm IP to deliver impact to our clients, either during client study or to sustain good practices developed during the engagement.
• Writing cloud-native software for the development of B2B (enterprise) products for the use of our clients. As part of a development team, you'll be expected to take the lead of specific technical development components and influence the product design and technical architectures based on your experience. You will use your skills to deliver mature, well tested software that meets high standards for maintainable, adaptable, scalable and secure software.
• An active learner, identifying new open source libraries and approaches to solve complex problems, and you'll have the opportunity to use unfamiliar technologies and learn new programming languages to meet technical requirements. You will leverage your strong understanding of key agile engineering practices to model ideal participation within agile teams and contribute to growing and improving our engineering practices.
• Contribute code and participate in code reviews, facilitate breaking down user stories into technical tasks, and help manage the process by which code is delivered and its quality. At times, you will need to provide advanced debugging and support for production/live software deployments. Furthermore, you'll communicate technical and delivery risks to the team and escalate to management when appropriate.

Required Skills :

• Bachelor's degree/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related discipline with excellent academic record
• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• Experience with building B2B and consumer quality products, enabling business capability and objectives through technology
• Hands-on skills working with SQL and No-SQL databases
• Strong application development skills, including experience in modern technology languages such as Python and Typescript, additional familiarity with advanced frameworks like Flask and React

Preferred Skills :

• Experience in implementing cloud-native software solutions on Azure Cloud with hands-on experience debugging complex distributed systems using cloud-native observability tooling, experience with cloud-native architecture design a plus
