Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Support Engineer to provide operational and infrastructure support for IBM Z Series mainframe environments. This is a hands-on support role requiring onsite presence. The candidate should be comfortable supporting production environments and be flexible with occasional weekend support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operations and infrastructure support for IBM Z Series mainframe systems
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and batch processing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mainframe-related incidents and issues
  • Support production environments and ensure system stability
  • Coordinate with internal teams for issue resolution and maintenance activities
  • Participate in scheduled weekend support when required (10:00 AM 3:00 PM)

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in IBM Z Series Mainframe Operations / Infrastructure Support
  • Strong understanding of mainframe production support processes
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale mainframe environments
  • Ability to work onsite in Columbus, OH or Plano, TX

Nice to Have:

  • Python or Java scripting experience
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Exposure to ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms
  • Experience with AI/LLM tools
  • Monitoring experience using Grafana
