Description
The IT Support Technician will provide hands-on technical support at our Libertyville facility and remote assistance across the organization. This role is essential for maintaining smooth IT operations, resolving technical issues, managing IT assets, and supporting infrastructure and security initiatives. The technician will also participate in the IT ticket triage rotation and may occasionally work after hours for project-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Manage user accounts in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
Support VPN and remote access connectivity.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows OS and applications.
IT Operations & Asset Management:
Participate in IT ticket triage and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets.
Coordinate hardware replacements, upgrades, and repairs.
Assist with equipment and software deployment.
Infrastructure & Network Support:
Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including VLANs and connectivity.
Support Wi-Fi and wired network troubleshooting.
Assist with firewall configurations and testing as needed.
Security & Compliance:
Enforce IT security policies and ensure SOC II Type 2 compliance.
Support endpoint security (CrowdStrike, Rapid7) and patch management.
Monitor and respond to phishing attempts and security alerts.
Project Work & After-Hours Support:
Participate in IT projects (e.g., deployments, upgrades, office moves).
Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed (will be limited but could be possible in case of an emergency so must be open to this).
Contribute to disaster recovery and backup testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of IT support experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and ITSM systems.
Technical Skills:
Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking.
Familiarity with IT asset management and procurement.
Basic knowledge of Fortinet firewalls and VLANs (preferred).
Experience with CrowdStrike and patch management tools (preferred).
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication and customer service orientation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
High attention to detail and documentation.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
