Job Description:
Role: Prin Advisor-Labor Relations
Location: Pomona, CA (Hybrid)
Role Summary
  • Act as a strategic consultant responsible for developing, prioritizing, managing, and implementing key business strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across Client s Distribution assets and vegetation management programs.
  • Collaborate with peer organizations to develop and approve new asset strategies and support regulatory filings (General Rate Case, Wildfire Mitigation Plan, Risk Assessment Mitigation Phase).
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in and occasionally lead the development and implementation of the company s Labor Relations Strategic Plan and bargaining strategies.
  • Gather intelligence on external labor relations environments, especially in California and Washington, D.C.
  • Identify and address potential or actual issues in company labor relations practices.
  • Recommend solutions for contractual issues with unions.
  • Manage and lead projects related to labor agreements.
  • Direct research on collective bargaining agreements involving other companies.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and implement labor relations strategies and resolve issues.
  • Support initiatives related to:
    • Distribution grid hardening
    • Infrastructure replacement planning
    • Maintenance & inspection enhancements
    • Vegetation management and risk-informed scoping
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
  • 5 7 years of experience in labor and employee relations.
  • Experience as chief negotiator in collective bargaining.
  • 10+ years leading or supporting major cross-functional business projects or strategic plans.
  • Strong project/program management and process improvement experience.
  • Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master s degree in business, technical, or related field.
  • PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher).
  • Exceptional organization and follow-through abilities.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Prior experience working in a Utility or Energy organization.
