iSeries Developer

Must Live in Michigan and no Sponsorship

iSeries Developer is responsible for assisting in the implementation of applications and the support of production systems as assigned. In addition, the iSeries Developer performs feasibility studies and creates system and programming specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Modernize legacy components to RPG/free and modular ILE RPG (modern IDE for RPG or for SQL)
• Develop and maintain SQL database scripts and procedures.
• Performs the programming, testing, conversions and implementation planning.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance IBM custom applications using Embedded SQL, SQL Stored Procedures, RPG IV, ILE, RPG Free, and CLP.
• Code, test, debug, document, and implement software to support business application.
• Ability to recognize the needs of customers and create new applications that answer those needs.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in RPG programming, specifically with RPG IV proficiency in RPG/free and modular ILE RPG
• 3+ years' experience in AS/400, iSeries, or IBM i environment
• 3+ years experience in SQL programming and database management
• Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge on IBM i Change management software, preferably Aldon.
• Knowledge on Db2 Web Query for i
