Job Details

Position: Engineer Level IV
Term: 12-Month Contract Full-time

Company: Provides infrastructure to deliver natural gas safely, supporting clean energy, with pipelines and processing operations nationwide, focusing on safety, authenticity, and industry leadership.

Role Overview: Support and resolve issues in your area or projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering & Design: Read, review, and redline P&IDs, E&I schematics; participate in design reviews; lead automation-focused PHA; manage tagging, symbols, references; define key equipment parameters; select hardware; set instrumentation ranges, alarm/trip points; configure control panel interfaces and loops; ensure consistency across WIMS standards and project documents; review P&IDs for ESD consistency.

  • PLC Programming: Write logic for SCP, ESD, compressors, Scada Packs, generators, vent fans, gas coolers, gas control, power monitor, air compressors, fire & gas detectors; setup devices and IPs; procure modules; test gas control data.

  • HMI Automation: Create screens and alarms for all PLCs, devices, compressors, generators, vent fans, gas coolers, station control, trending, reports, ESD, fire & gas; order HMI machine and Wonderware license.

  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Travel to conduct FAT of control buildings, panels, MCCs.

  • Documents: Maintain, test, verify cause & effect, IO list.

  • Commissioning: Travel to commission entire station controls and automation; test and commission every device and SCADA system.

Qualifications:

  • 5 10 years experience (8 10 preferred), prior oil & gas experience.

  • Must Have: Advanced PLC & SCADA/HMI programming; instrumentation & control system expertise; FAT and commissioning experience; oil & gas domain knowledge; Tier IV troubleshooting; ownership in design review/PHAs; cross-functional collaboration; travel readiness.
