Position: Internet/Web Architect

Duration: 2 Months plus possible 1 Year Renewal

Location: Onsite - Tallahassee, FL

JOB DESCRIPTION:

General Experience Expectations:

A minimum of five (5) years of IT work experience with demonstrated knowledge in architecture design, software development, database management systems, and systems integration in multi-platform environments.

Required Qualifications:

The Department is seeking a full-time, on-site Enterprise Architect

A bachelor s degree or master s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable.

The Department requires the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:

  1. A minimum of five (5) years of IT work experience with demonstrated knowledge in architecture design, software development, database management systems, and systems integration in multiplatform environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

The Department prefers the Candidates to have the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:

  1. Proven experience leading the design of solutions in hybrid environments (on-premise, cloud, Software as a Service [SaaS], and Commercial Off-the-Shelf [COTS]);
  2. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies;
  3. Extensive experience in Waterfall project management;
  4. Expertise in web technologies such as JavaScript (React, Angular, Vue), Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interfaces (REST APIs), Node.js, .NET, and Java;
  5. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud and their architecture patterns;
  6. Deep understanding of data modeling, databases, and system interoperability;
  7. Ability to develop scalable, secure, and maintainable web architectures across diverse technology stacks;
  8. Experience creating target state architecture diagrams, transition roadmaps, and system interface designs;
  9. Ability to evaluate and integrate SaaS and COTS solutions into enterprise ecosystems;
  10. Experience with application rationalization and technical debt reduction strategies;
  11. Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, quality assurance, business analysts, and product owners;
  12. Experience mentoring development teams and ensuring architectural consistency across projects;
  13. Capable of presenting architectural decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders; and
  14. Strong vendor management experience, including assessing the technical fit of third-party solutions.
