We re looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to own and accelerate development of BigCommerce Catalyst websites, helping us launch fast, performant, and scalable ecommerce experiences.

You ll take full ownership of the front-end, building production-quality Next.js applications deployed on Vercel, and collaborating closely with design, backend, and digital CX teams. If you love writing clean, maintainable code and shipping high-impact projects, we want to work with you.

What You ll Do

  • Lead front-end development for BigCommerce Catalyst websites using Next.js and React.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain responsive, SEO-friendly, high-performance pages and components.
  • Integrate APIs and CMS content while ensuring code scalability and maintainability.
  • Improve Core Web Vitals, optimize builds, and streamline deployments via Vercel.
  • Collaborate through Jira for project tracking and sprint planning.
  • Communicate proactively and deliver work on time with clear progress updates.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of front-end development experience, including 3+ years with React and Next.js.
  • Proven track record building and launching headless ecommerce or BigCommerce Catalyst sites.
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
  • Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Vercel deployments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to deliver autonomously.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with A/B testing or experimentation tools (Optimizely, Google Optimize).
  • Familiarity with Storybook, design systems, or component-driven development.
  • Knowledge of tracking/analytics tools (GA4, Tag Manager).
