Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer -Storage
Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: 6 Month
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage and automation, with a particular focus on data protection. This role involves evaluating performance on PMAX and Pure storage systems, with additional experience in Isilon and NetApp being advantageous. The successful candidate will also have experience with storage capacity planning tools such as Virtana and CloudInsights.
- 2-3x a week on site in Nashville
- Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and optimize the performance of primary storage systems, including PMAX and Pure.
- Utilize secondary storage systems, such as Isilon and NetApp, to support data management and protection.
- Implement and manage storage capacity planning tools, including Virtana and CloudInsights, to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of storage solutions.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience in storage systems and automation, with a focus on data protection.
- Strong knowledge of PMAX and Pure storage systems; experience with Isilon and NetApp is a plus.
- Proficiency in using storage capacity planning tools such as Virtana and CloudInsights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
