Job Summary:
The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Child Support Services (DCSS), is seeking a System Security Analyst to support the design, implementation, and monitoring of security controls for systems supporting child support enforcement. The position ensures compliance with federal, state, and departmental regulations, with an emphasis on safeguarding sensitive information related to child support cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage user access controls for DCSS systems including automated case management tools.
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain system security protocols and policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits of system security within the child support enforcement environment.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and program staff to address security issues related to data privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain and document system configurations, security settings, and incident response procedures.
- Assist in federal and state compliance efforts, such as IRS Publication 1075 and CJIS security policies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to staff in security best practices.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents or breaches related to child support systems.
- Participate in system development life cycles (SDLC) to ensure security is built into applications and infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in system security, access control management, or cybersecurity.
- Experience working with or knowledge of child support enforcement programs or case management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with security compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, IRS Pub 1075, CJIS).
- Working knowledge of Georgia s child support programs and related federal requirements.
- Experience with role-based access controls (RBAC), identity and access management (IAM), or privileged access management (PAM).
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
- Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM are a plus.
