Title: Business Systems Analyst (BSA)
Location: Plano, TX
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The BSA will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to analyze requirements, improve business processes, and ensure successful system implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
Act as a liaison between business users and IT/development teams
Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and process mapping
Support system design, development, testing, and implementation phases
Create documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, use cases, workflows, and user stories
Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and defect resolution
Ensure solutions align with business objectives and compliance standards
Support change management and end-user training
Continuously identify opportunities for system and process improvements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience working with enterprise applications and databases
Proficiency in requirement-gathering techniques and documentation tools
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart
Knowledge of SQL, APIs, or data analysis tools
Experience in domains such as Banking, Healthcare, Retail, or Insurance
Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA
