Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in Citrix Netscaler (4+ years required) and enterprise infrastructure to join a high-performing team supporting mission-critical services at E*TRADE. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and automating infrastructure platforms that support high-availability systems in a regulated financial environment.

This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise in Linux systems, infrastructure automation, and application delivery controllers (ADC). Ideal candidates are proactive, goal-driven engineers who can manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, maintain, and optimize infrastructure solutions for high-performance, low-latency systems.
Develop and extend internal tools to monitor, automate, and manage deployments.
Evaluate and integrate commercial and open-source software into the tech stack.
Provide documentation, planning, and execution for infrastructure projects.
Serve as an escalation point for production system issues.
Contribute to on-call and incident response as needed.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.
4+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix Netscaler (or similar ADCs like F5 Big-IP).
3+ years of experience with Linux/UNIX administration.
3+ years of scripting/programming experience using Python or similar languages.
3+ years of experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Git, or Subversion.
Strong understanding of network protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SSH, SMTP, FTP.
2+ years of experience managing core services like Apache/Nginx, Tomcat, Jetty, Postfix, BIND.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with Web/Internet Security best practices.
Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolsets.
Familiarity with BlueCat or InfoBlox for IPAM/DNS.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
