Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for an Incident Response Analyst for one of our investment clients!

Length: One Year Contract (with potential to convert)

Hourly Rate: $50/hr+ (Depending on Experience)

Shift: Sunday - Tuesday 6 AM - 6:30 PM (3 days on, 4 days off)
  • Please note the shift will rotate every few months
  • Need to be open to working weekends/holidays


Incident Response Analyst

Core Responsibilities

1. Responds to and resolves complex incidents and security issues. Determines the root cause and implements corrective action with appropriate level of assistance. Elevates potential concerns and gaps as appropriate.

2. Monitors the operation of systems and networks to ensure business continuity. Produces detailed reports for management, including findings and operation status.

3. Conducts periodic recertification of all tasks and process documentation. Monitors the infrastructure and crew for security events and provide response to elevated. Identifies computer security requirements for new systems and or processes under development.

4. Maintains up-to-date documentation, procedures, and workflows to assist in performing event & incident investigations. Identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and procedures.

5. Performs security audits on a regular basis to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.

6. Trains and coaches junior staff on incident response procedures and serves as an escalation point for inquiries and issues.

7. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least two years of information technology or security experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or information technology-related field or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
  • Security+, CISSP, SANS, or other industry certifications
