Description
We are looking for a talented Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise to design, implement, and maintain effective security measures across our infrastructure, application, and cloud environments. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our systems and data by leveraging advanced security tools and processes to ensure robust protection.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement security protocols to protect infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
Manage identity and access management (IAM) systems to ensure secure and seamless user authentication.
Evaluate and deploy advanced security tools, including Microsoft Defender and email gateways, to enhance threat detection capabilities.
Perform regular assessments of network security to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
Collaborate with teams to strengthen application security and ensure adherence to best practices.
Respond to security incidents by investigating threats and implementing mitigation strategies.
Optimize the performance and configuration of security systems such as ConnectWise.
Enhance governance by designing processes for access control and security monitoring.
Provide guidance and training to ensure adherence to cybersecurity protocols across the organization.
Stay updated on emerging security trends and technologies to continuously improve the security posture.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Defender and other advanced security tools.
Strong knowledge of IAM systems and best practices.
Experience with email gateway solutions and network security protocols.
Familiarity with ConnectWise and its integration into security operations.
Extensive understanding of application security principles and methodologies.
Ability to assess and mitigate risks through effective incident response.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
